Well, since we don't know what subwoofer, and how many of them this box is for, that's not very informative, sorry. What kind of car is this going in, and what kind and quantity of subwoofer(s) will be in it?

Might be a little more than you need on the port area than you need, but better more than too little, but if you'd like it that way, the tuning checks out, and the total volume the sub will see is a bit under 5 cubes, so that should be good for a square 15". I'd say go ahead and build it, the volume, tuning, and port area are more than sufficient. Let us know how it turns out.

Nah, if you changed the port area, you'd need to change the length too, to get the same tuning, which would change the internal net volume that the sub has. I'd leave it as is, more port area won't make it sound worse the same way too little will. It just takes up a little more room in the car. But if you can fit it, by all means build it, that should sound really nice.

The general rule of thumb for port clearance is the smallest dimension of the port itself. For example, if your port is 33 inches wide and 3 inches tall, you'd want a 3 inch space between where the port exits the box and the trunk hatch for port loading purposes. Any closer and it'll throw the port's resonant properties off a bit and it'll be restrictive to air flow and sound crappy.

3 inches maybe i will adjust the measurements or maybe put sub and port up.. what is the difference with port and sub up or sub up port back in terms of sound quality and loudness?
