You guys are horrible at giving advice on a first bike, a first bike WILL GO DOWN, hopefully not at a high speed. Get something cheap and used with decent low rpm torque for your first bike, and if you can find one something with a steel frame instead of aluminum.
I would stay away from the 600cc RR bikes due to your size, and the fact that you will learn faster on a bike that doesn't need to be at 7k+ to pass a car.
I 1000cc RR would be a better fit for you, but just not yet, they have way more power than you need, and to prove that here are some 0-60 times;
96 Camry 2.2L 0-60 in about 8.0
kawi ninja 250 0-60 in 5.75
2005 Dodge Charger R/T 0-60 5.6
kawi ninja 500 0-60 in 3.76
2005 Porsche Carrera GT in 3.5
2003 Suzuki Hayabusa 0-60 in 3.2
McLaren F1 0-60 in 3.2
Bugatti Veyron 0-60 in 2.8
killacycle (electric drag bike) in 1.186
Sammy miller's "vanishing point" 0.16
