the box itself rattles? did you glue it together? caulk it?

if the trunk rattles you just need some fatmat or something

ya the box rattles , it is glued together and screwed it think it wood is to thin thou .. yep i is a 15w3 and 500/1

you have a layer of resin inside the box? might solve your problems, or try some cross bracing.. hate to see you take a claw hammer to that box.

What wood did you use? You need to have used 3/4" MDF. If you did the build is under par and some bracing is a good idea.

I'm a noob at building boxes, and was going to design one for my car... what do you mean by bracing?

put some 4 inch x 3/4 inch bracing material inside the box.. like in the middle of the box.. between the subwoofer and the amp from the front to the rear of the box.. internally.. if that made any sense.

Bracing is wood used within the box to keep the walls from flexing.

the box is 7 1/4 deep x 14 high x 23 1/2 long those are the internal demensions the wood is 1/2 inch thick . so that about 1.38 cubes. - the speaker displacement .096.

is that box big enough for the sub or should i got with 2 or more cubes

Are you sure it's not the trunk and/or trunk panels rattling?

well i braced the box and now the truck rattle . now i got to fix that . i guess spray foam will work
