I have wanted to compete for years but have never had a vehicle that I wanted to mutilate. Now that I have an old farm truck that I bought from the company I work for I decided to give bass racing a shot. I am nervous because I have never competed, or even metered any of my systems. Luckily Jim is a good buddy of mine and has offered advise every step of the way. My system won't be completely ready, for example my front stage will be only 2 4x6 infinity plate speakers that will be ran on my head unit because I haven't had time to fab up my door pods or wire in my 4 channel yet. I only have a couple of hours to work on it per day 2-3 times a week.

I will be running a B2 zero.1 and a single Tantric HDD 15 in a 3.65 cube net box tuned to 32 hz. I have a 320 amp singer alt on the way, 2 diehard platinum group 34's under the hood, and 5 Deka 8a31's in the back. There is also 5 runs of 2/0 welding cable from front to back, then 5 runs of power and 5 runs ground into the cab.

Here's some pics.

So anyway, almost done with sub stage. Wish me luck lol, and any advise is welcome. Going to get this thing on the meter and do some testing/practice before the show.

you gna be there? im gna be there too! its gna be at big bear! Jim metered my Tahoe back when I had my 4 15s installed, I hit a 145.3 on my first run on music. only had 1 battery which was under the hood at the time so my voltage was dropping 10-11s it was horrible. ur gna do good with that tantric. over 140s for sure. those tantric subs are pretty darn hard hitting.

Yes sir, I will be there. Are you going to have your 18's in there or still going to be running the 15's?

I'm hoping I hit over 140, I haven't played anything on this box yet so I am hoping it all works out.

You don't need a meter for bass racing honestly. DB Drags is a different story. Most bass racers like to duck into the 129.9 class which kinda ***** if your a nub. That's the class I went into in Turlock and had to run against some guys that were bad ***. The top three scores were 129.9, 129.8 and 129.7 sooooooo lol. The goal of bass racing is to get as close to a certain class goal like 129.9 average without going over on a 30 second run. Not to get as loud and low as possible that's Db Drags. Ask to see if you can get a test run first. They did that for me watch a couple first so you kinda get the grasp. Qualifying is different you're doing a solo run so pay attention to the director. If you can I'd go into the 139.9 class as not as many people competed in that class at least not in Turlock.

Oh btw very nice build bud grats.

I wouldnt be surprised if you got in the 145-147 range with that hdd. They are some nasty azz subs! Good luck can wait to see how you do. Whats the specs on the zero.1 im lazy as fock and at work!?

my truck is at the shop getting engine work done. not gna have any sound for a while. I hope to have everything done by the next show in august. im guessing my truck will be finished before this month ends, and as soon as it gets back its on. just gna get right into the build for the 4 18s. I was thinking of doing a c-pillar wall the only thing that's holding me back is not being able to see whats behind me

I added 2 more charging cables for a total of 4. I have 160 feet of 2/0 welding cable, and about 35 feet of sky high 1/0, the hola is to get to 10-12k watts by next year (with a second alt of course).
