well, the SX will be noticeably louder im sure, once both coils are working and it can go down to one ohm, and get a bit more power, but the type r, it ran for a whole week or so with no damage. it got stinky a couple times playing some retarded low test tones, but nothing more than that.

Type R's love the lows. My 2 10's are not getting rated power let and they are pretty loud on low frequencies. On the high notes, they don't seem to put out as much.

SX's can handle a good bit over their 1000rms with what ive done

the one coil is the only thing hooked up, we tried to solder the leads, but it still wouldnt power wired in parrallel, so that coil is getting the 1050 and thats it. id go as far as saying it could handle 2000 with ease, cuz it took this relatively well. the type r, it got the same power and took it even better. of course that was 1050 on the whole sub, not just one coil. that thing was dumb loud IMO.

I'm not sure about handling 2100w rms, but I'm not going to doubt it. I'd assume if both coils are used maybe 1800w rms, but I'd like to see it with both coils. The reason I would assume it may not handle it is because since one coil was not used on yours, I would assume the vc could dissapate more heat overall.
