RE made to bad *** of a sub that it wouldnt blow with 1050 on a single coil, the other is fubard already and sub only runs on one coil.....wtf dave!

well, its got like 1050 watts on one coil or some shit like that. lol. 2.5 cubes at 33 hz. designed by yours truly. the type R we put in that box was dumb loud.

yes i do, not much of one though. scott has the better one. it didnt really go up in smoke, hell it didnt even lock up. the tinsel leads went up in flames for like 2 seconds, and then it stopped. still moving when u push on the cone and the coil isnt even dark hardly.

i really liked my sx's, i found them to be very good subs. anyways, thats 1050 for one coil so were you running 2100 for the sx? or were you running 1050 for the whole sub and since it had a busted coil you decided to just run that power on the single coil? also how did the type r handle the power? any issue with stress?

the one coil is the only thing hooked up, we tried to solder the leads, but it still wouldnt power wired in parrallel, so that coil is getting the 1050 and thats it. id go as far as saying it could handle 2000 with ease, cuz it took this relatively well. the type r, it got the same power and took it even better. of course that was 1050 on the whole sub, not just one coil. that thing was dumb loud IMO.

was there any signs of stress at 1050 for the type r? or do you think it could of taken more power? also are these 12" or 15"? i really wanna try some 15" type r's for my next setup, so im tryin to do my research without falling into any hype. i would of relaly liked to see if it could take the 2k watts.

really...the type R was louder than the sx? how were the lows with the type R?
