My dream job? Disney Imagineer

Not to be corny, but seriously, I hope to be an Imagineer someday. I love Disney, and everything about it. I was offered a position there a couple years ago as an intern, but turned it down because it would've been a crap job. $7.50 for 40+ hours walking around picking up trash, etc etc in addition to having to abide by Disney rules and pay for an apartment on site...I would've been lucky to break even. Although it would've been my "foot in the door" I knew that I could do better. Things worked out better by staying where I am. However, I still want to work for Disney sometime in my life. I'm looking into what it takes to be an imagineer. The Disney company is coming to my school tomorrow to give presentations on careers at Disney. I have another year of school and am co-oping for a NASA contractor right now, so I have no plans on making a move toward anything right now. Just want to learn as much as I can. My fiance graduates in May and has been offered positions as a respiratory therapist at 2 different hospitals (and she's been working for another one for over a year already in that position) so it's safe to say she'll have no trouble finding work if we were to move. She's all for it, so maybe one day it'll happen.

Disney sucks. don't do it. i hated working at disney. they're ****ing pricks

btw they don't pay interns $7.50, it's 6.50 and $80 a week goes to your apartment which includes everything so you still had a decent amount of spending money. regular employees only make $7.50 an hour there.

i have no idea but it probably sucks like the rest of the jobs at disney world. then orlando just sucks. it's all foreigners and tourist and the cost of living is outrages.

they had the stupidest names for everything. i couldn't keep up with all the bullshit. the living was great though. (google search vista way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif) they are pricks throughout that corporation, the co-workers were mean and rude and couldn't speak english

it was the disney student program. i never paid attention to the bullcrap they kept telling us.

I was offered a position in the same thing you're talking about. Sometimes I wish I would've gone, but they said you had to share the internet, had a curfew, etc etc. I was like "nooo, no internet?!".

disney world. all you had to do was get a router. there was no curfew, you just had to turn off the music and be quite from 1 am to 6 or 7. you could stay out all night if you wanted too.
