Well it also depends upon the type of car you have and how well the box suites the subs. Also what meter were you on? If you were on the TermLab.net, that isnt a bad number at all.

Guys if you want a pissing contest of spl, fine I do a 151.6 on the new termlab legal and did several legal 158 scores last year and did 172 in the port.... But that's NOT the point of this thread.

The dude is asking for some help, at least try to provide some rather than beating your chests with your "spl," guessed or otherwise.

the system is in an 94 toyota regcab with a cut through an the mike was an termlab but i dunno if it was the net one i think it was an termlab pro maybe i dunno but i really think my system should be louder an the thing with the tuning everyone on this forum said 35 would be a preatty good tune for alot of output an i also put a second battery in an i couldnt notice any differnce do yall really think an ho alt would help...an also what ezactly are all of yalls gains at with the hifonics amps cause i just guessed on most of the gains..i really appriciate any advice.

What did the meter actually look like?

Since you do have a regular cab, try increasing your port area and raising the tune to around 40hz. Also place a few large angles in the corners of your box... PM me for more details...

Also how thick are the walls on your box?

Is the baffle 1.5" thick or greater?

And how do you have the port secured?

you hit that low because your box is tuned sorta low
People that are tuned low have experienced a much lower point loss on the new TL compared to people tuned high.

You might just want to mess around with port and sub placement and make sure everything is braced well. IMO modifying the box will give you tenths but building boxes till you find what your truck likes and modifying that box would be a better idea.

Even little things like moving the box inches, folding down the visors, opening the glovebox, bigger grounds and power will free a few tenths up. Its trial and error trial and error till your happy (which most-likely wont happen).

Good luck and keep buiding.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
