My brand new amp died while listening to music

That same thing happened to me before. I was moving some shit around in my trunk earlier that day. Rode around that night listening to music then all of a sudden everything shuts off. Later i troubleshooted and found out I had shorter my remote wire out

You SHOULD have a fuse holder with a fuse somewhere near your front battery that is connected to your main power wire going to the amp. Pull it and see if it popped. Not that hard. Sounds like what happened.
Checked the fuse box earlier that day after googleing. Saw one that popped, but that was called “backup radio”. Bought a new one but nothing changed.

This is the only answer on this thread that got translated to Icelandic – but still I cant understand it, well some of it. Stupit google translate.

The capacitor is dead too, just about everything in the trunk.

I took some photos, hope it’ll help. 

Exacly the same thing. So, where is the remote wire – or should I just google it?

So, I saw a blue thin cable(the remote wire?) that was connected from my speaker amp to my woofer amp, and under the carpet to the HU I guess. Nothing seems to be wrong there.

Here are some pics, hope they help 

Here is the link to the photos. Let me know if there is anything missing or not photographed well enough.

I don't think it is the cap as it would still get power and show some voltage even if the amp was dead or not on cause of the remote wire, correct?

The fuse you need to check is the one attached to the red wire at your battery. There should be one connected right to that wire. It is not inside any "fuse boxes". I have a feeling that is what blew.

This thing you are talking about ace_800?

How can I tell if it's blown?

Yes, look in the glass above the 150A word. There should be a metal piece that connects both sides. If you don't see anything or its not connected then its blown. That is why nothing is getting power.

No, in his other pics you can see the 8ga coming from the battery positive. Not sure what that smaller red wire is, but he's hooked from the battery to the fuse holder to a splitter in the back to the cap then the amps with 8ga.
