I have a question for you that I am stumped on, First I'll explain what I have running.
Head Unit: Eclipse CD5030
Front Components: Morel Tempo 6.5's 120watts RMS
Amp: MTX TC6004, 4 channel amp
JL 10", 300watts RMS In a ported box tuned to 30hz custom made.
4-Channel 4AWG knukonceptz wiring kit.
75watts RMS x 2 on the components, And 300watts RMS on the woofer.
I did some testing today, I played the system loud for about 45 minutes and then I turned the volume down to 1/4 and the audio would slowly cut in and out a few times. I left the car on and popped the trunk, I touched the amp and it was only warm to the touch and was not in protection mode.
This seems to happen ever time, If I play it loud for a longer period of time and turn the volume down the audio will skip, All the audio will cut in and out a few times.
Now I'm just running it off the stock battery and I have not done the big 3 upgrade yet. I checked all the wires to make sure everything is tight and in order. I am thinking it is a voltage problem and that the battery might be too weak for this 4-channel amp.
I say again, It only cuts out after cranking it for awhile and turning it down to 1/4. Cuts out on LOW volume only.
