My Assassin 10 needs an amp. Taking suggestions.

Primarily wanting your feedback and comments from real world experiences.

First off, a little info....

My Infinity 7541a amp is being used to power a set of Alpine SPX-177R's up front. The other 2 channels are being bridged for my Assassin 10 in a 0.6 cf sealed box.

I recently purchased a set of Kicker SSMB6's that I plan to install for a bit of midbass rear fill (well, really mid-fill as it's in a VW GTI and the stock rear speaker locations are right behind the front seats). I am going to power these with the other channels of my Infinity amp. So I am in need of another amp capable of 250-300W RMS at 4 Ohms.

My budget sucks. It's going to be about $150 max. I know, I know...kinda lame and really cuts out anything really decent. That's what a mortgage and married life does to me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Here's what I've jotted down as possible sub amps so far:

Profile AP1000M

Pioneer GM-7200M or 7150M

Kicker Kx400.1 (need feedback on observed actual rms at 4 Ohms)

PG Xenon X400.1 (if I can find one)

Kenwood KAC-X812D

Other suggestions are always welcome.

The xenon 400.1 is like $120 on ebay. I was also considering this to run 2 10"s. I this a pretty good amp?

either way its 350@4 and a lot more at 2 if they make SVC2 ones now? haha

550W rms at 2 Ohms... hmm now if I could only find another Assassin 10. How are those Planet Audio amps measured? 13.5V? 14.4? What THD? Underrated? Overrated?

check out my thread on the jbl gts300 its an older amp but its nice old school power. Drives my IDQ10 very nicely for $75

I just installed an arc audio 2100cxl to power my 10" assassin. The ARC 2100cxl's are older, but drives the assassin great. It was only $150 shipped used off ebay as well.

im selling a rockford fosgate T10002 for 215 shipped... little over budget but totally worth it specs are 225 W x 2 @ 4 Ohms RMS

350 W x 2 @ 2 Ohms RMS

500 W x 2 @ 1 Ohms RMS

600 W x 1 @ 4 Ohms Bridged RMS

1000 W x 1 @ 2 Ohms Bridged RMS

the planet amps I have received in that series have birthsheets giving rated power at 12.8-12.9v
