My alpine 9815 is my problem, but im not sure

I am having a power issue of some sorts in heat..My head unit skips cd's in heat and I get distortion every once ina while.I am tryng to figure ouf if my amp is the problem or the head unit is the problem.My head units fan doesnt seem like its running when I turn off the car like my old 9813 used to, it does run very hot in hot weather..Could the head unit be a issue with my car audio system not getting the sound it should ?..ohh and when I am moving the subs lose power as well.. The amp doesnt get hot at all even in alot of heat so "My problem to me" is in the head unit But im just not sure !!!

you got to to make sure the fan is running, otherwise i would advize you getting it a new one...

btw, try pressing the Play/Pause while holding the Power/Source... i remember this would turn on or off the fan... but i never made sure it really worked....
