kinda wondering... does anyone think that a 1996 ford explorer with a decent battery with 8gauge and 95 amp alt, can run about 800 rms no problem?

or would i most likely have serious dimming and such..?

and then doing the big 3 with 0 gauge would it basically fix it all up if i had problems?

I had 1200 watts in a '95 Explorer with slight dimming but not too bad. I then jumped up to 2500 watts and had major dimming. All on a stock alternator and a Redtop battery.

my explorers stock alternator was 130amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

i had two batteries, big 3 done in 1/0, and stock alty with 2500RMS @ 1 ohm, and had some dimming and voltage drops at idle.

my friend had a explorer with a yellowtop and 4 gauge big3 and power wire and it was grounded in the rear. it dimmed a little but i dont remember what the voltage drop was.

I hooked up a Planet Audio TT2250d at 1ohm in my friends 98 Explorer 5.0, and had some voltage drop. But nothing really major.

That should be around ~150amps of current draw. On stock electrical and it did fine for over a year.
