My (4) RE MT 15's

pics of the front stage that keeps up with it too!!!!

Old set of 6.5" MB Quarts (bought new in 1992) in the front doors with 180 x 2 RMS MTX amp.

Polk dB6520's in the middle doors with a 115 x 2 RMS MTX amp

Clarion plates in the wall (mainly for surround sound, since I have the DD processor) with a 85 x 2 RMS MTX amp.

Mids and highs do pretty good.

ah .. ok. depending on the organizaion you're competing in, thats a valid way to test.

However, there are always extreme variations in db score measured from at the head vs. kick... for example, I have a teammate that does 146's at the head, and pulls 151's at the kick....that kinda variation is enough to kill you from competing in crossover competitions between organizations.

Now I dont remember what The Heat Wave sound off organization is, but that TL score you are referencing at the moment could be easily squashed if lets say....it was a DB drag event. Sealed up on the dash measurment just murders some peoples scores....and some it proves well.

either way, good luck....and i Pm'ed ya on some ideas.

Street Beat 4 this year. Meter can be in the kick, door can be open. 30 second music run.

Thanks for the PM!!!!

I agree that placement of the mic can kill some people...

USACi Streetbeat event rules:

Sensor placement will be any place in front of the “B” pillar facing forward with globe affixed … or mounted to windshield without globe at 12” to the left of passenger’s side A pillar and 4” above the dash. (Competitor’s choice.)

Windows up or down, doors and/or sun roofs open or closed. Doors can be fanned but not slammed during the run.

cool cool...yeah I was at a USACi event last weekend, and wow do they have some goofy ideas about competing vs. db drag and MECA. Of course, they probably say the same thing. But alot of those catagories and classifications they do are retarded. I commonly see people with 50k investested in equipment going up against people with $2000... it just doesnt seem fair to me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

of course, sometimes its the other way around in USACi...at the same show I was at this weekend, a bright yellow brand new Hummer showed up with two solox 18's and a couple of kx2500's in the back nestled within probably $10k in fiberglass. It popped a 144.3 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif .... in his same class, you had people with 3k invested doing 149's... so it goes both ways sometimes.
