My 3 12" RF P3'S arent hitting the lows very good, ideas????

Ok so i got some subs last week theyre 3 p3's in a ported box that i had made when i got 3 type r's a while ago. When i play songs with low bass they dont shake anything like the type r's did, they go low but they dont shake anything in the truck like the type r's did anyone know why? The amp i just got its a Clarion DPX11551 which is a good amp but i dont know what it is.

box tuning? box size? how are they wired? P3's are inexpensive,but can get low

I agree that they arent the best, but they should be adequate. Box tuning perhaps

Ehh i know theyre not the best but those are the ones my insurance got for me to replace my type r's....the box is huge it takes up the whole backseat in my quad cab and its ported, im not sure what its tuned to tho. Im pretty sure the shop wired them to 2 ohms since theyre all dual 4 ohms.

well you cant wire 3 D4s to 2 ohms so it might be at a higher load. the box was probably built for type R specs as well so the P3s could change tuning characteristics. you need a box for those P3s and you need to see how much power they are seeing.

correct. its either .6ohm in paralell, or 2.66 in series

and knowing that it was an audio shop, i would think its 2.66. are they moving a lot? what are your amp settings?

Yes im pretty sure its 2.66, they kinda move on the lows but theyre not hitting them very well. I just set the gain and left everything else on the amp stock. The Clarion amp i have dpx15511 gives 1550 at 2ohm im not sure if theyre getting all of that. Does the box really make that much of a difference? I really want them to hit the lows like the type r's did.
