my 10" RE SExxx is done for :(

I have no idea of any songs that play below 32 hz... but any digitally generated music (as opposed to analog instruments) could easily give you a CD full of 20hz.... again not that i'm specifically aware of any.

I guess my point is just to say that in theory, any open ported system system (as opposed to bandpass) is specifically vulnerable under it's tuned frequency, and that if you are unlucky enough to be really hard on the volume, and you get a song with really low hits then you could ruin any sub. In this case i would also imagine the peak power (amp and sub) would also be worth considering.

... or you could just have a bad one, and RE needs a call... probably at least worth it to have them check it out if it's under warranttee still.

i noticed today when i was checking out the sub again that when you press down on it, there's a creaking sound. i wouldn't think it should make that sound....could that possibly be two parts rubbing together that shouldn't be, causing it to heat up beyond normal conditions and fry the voice coils? just a thought...

The ones of your mom? Ill send them ASAP!
I've been waiting at the door for those.

The angry irish postal worker delivers, and after I give him a nice kiss, I check the mail. But, nothing from you. I then cry on the steps of my porch. You sir, are a tease.

how much is a recone on the SExxx? if it's like $100 + shipping both ways, i'm almost tempted to just upgrade to an SX.....hmmmmmm
