does anyone know how to make a 4 cylinder mustang sound beefy...my friend has one and he want to know how to get it to sound DEEP....

I am also looking for some 5.0 stuff for a mustang..like the rims and anything else that came on a 5.0 mustang....

Yeah, put a v-8 in it

I had an 80 stang.. had a trunk to it (not sure what that is versus all those dammed ugly hatch backs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ).. was a straight 6.. ripped out the front sub frame and dropped a 5.0 from an 83 into it (rebuilt with a 92 HO kit.. done myself).. and put in the 5 spd as well.. fukn smokin' //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

they make 4 cylinder mustangs???????? they must be the older ones because i know the smallest they have come in since 1994 was a 3.8 V6

this one is a 93 and it has a 2.3L 4cl. in it...

i was just wondering if a 2.5" cherry bomb would work and take the cat off an all of the baffels

The orginal 80 cost ~$150 (it didn't run, got it mostly for the clean body).. paid $750 for the running 83 5.0.. used the engine/trans/sub-frame in my car.. the rebuild, now that was a bit more.. like another $800 for machining and the kit..

If he can find a decent running 5.0 with serious body damge or something (something junked or something), could probably get it cheap.. and you don't really need to rebuild it if it runs..

The hard part for your friend is it's a 93.. you could go back to I think 82 for an engine that would bolt in, but the emissions would be the problem.... I went forward, (s)he's going backward.. harder to do..

EDIT: sorry, back to 79 I think.. that F-Body is from 79 - 93 if I'm not mistaken..

I say leave the 4 cly stuff on it, upgrade the motor to 5.0 and put a sqeeky sounding exhaust (but free flowing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ) on it.. can you say sleeeper?

Remove your silencer... right after the manifold, there should be bolts to take apart the pipes... you can get yourself some side pipes for the full effect...

I would advise against the cherry bomb. My friend put one on his bonneville 6000 (piece of **** 4-cylinder) and it sounds very obnoxious, not deep at all. And it resonates in the interior so bad we always say "Turn your car down!!" and when the people beat him they will think that their car is hot **** and his is a piece of ****...

he just wants to do something with the car that would be fun.......it is his first car and like the first week he had it he put a system in it and 2 blue racing stripes down the middle of it...aho yeah it is white...i think that since it is his first car that he want to play with it...like almost every teenager wants to do...
