music without receiver?

i was trying to hook up speakers to my vespa, and was wondering if i get some rca cables and hook that up to my ipod and the amp. Will the amp work and play music through the speakers?

you don't already look gay enough riding a vespa you have to ghetto rig some speakers to it?

it will work, just might be a little awkward to use. Definitely stealth though.
