Muscle Spasm's

I have this eye twitch that comes and goes with time..... it seems anytime an amphedamine is introduced into my system, the twitch starts again (over a period of a month or so). I did some thizz a while back, and ever since, I've had this same twitch...

**** cocaine.

 
I've searched around for remedies to twitching as I get them every now and then and it seems there's no definitive answer. Just try relaxing, getting enough rest, and I tried homeopathic pills called Hyland's Calms. Lay off caffeine.

 
What is Tardive Dyskinesia?

Tardive dyskinesia is a neurological syndrome caused by the long-term use of neuroleptic drugs. Neuroleptic drugs are generally prescribed for psychiatric disorders, as well as for some gastrointestinal and neurological disorders. Tardive dyskinesia is characterized by repetitive, involuntary, purposeless movements. Features of the disorder may include grimacing, tongue protrusion, lip smacking, puckering and pursing, and rapid eye blinking. Rapid movements of the arms, legs, and trunk may also occur. Involuntary movements of the fingers may appear as though the patient is playing an invisible guitar or piano.

 
lately i have been getting muscle spams i dont know why. is it because i play football after school? my muscle is growing? can someone tell me why people get them?

If you are doing a lot of exercising and you are sweating a lot, you may be suffering from mild hyponatremia. Basically its an electrolyte imbalance caused by any combination of the following:

1) Drinking too much water (causes you to dilute the electrolytes in your system)

2) Excessive exercise (causes you to sweat out the electrolytes)

3) Not eating a healthy diet (causes you not to have enough electrolytes in the first place).

I deal with Sports Medicine stuff all the time since I have to take care of Marines and they are constantly doing stupid things to themselves...

The best way to combat the effects are:

1) Staying well hydrated. Water is the best pre-hydration fluid and for re-hydration I use a mixture of 1/2 water, 1/2 Gatorade, and 1/2 7-up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Gatorade has too many electrolytes by itself so you dilute it with water and you add the 7-up to give yo a little extra sugar.

2) For extended work outs, eat some Saltine crackers or get some of those power-gel packs. This will keep the electrolytes flowing...

3) Post workout eat a banana or two as a snack for some natural potassium.

4) Since your still in your growing years, take a multivitamin, Flintstones or whatever.

this happens to me every so often also. Sometimes it my eye lid sometime my theigh sometime my lip, always different. I do not work out, i do not exercise, i do not do anything cept for hang out and smoke pot. So what could this be if there i sno exercise/workout involved? Happens everyonce in a while.

Quit smoking pot!!! I really have no idea about it, but if that's all you do, it can't be good for you...

How's your daily diet? It could be that you're not getting enough nutrients. Downing a whole bag of Dorito's when you have the munchies doesn't cout as "proper" nutrition!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hitbybrick.gif.68a672fae224041f00769a97c2c1bf2d.gif

 
i get a proper diet, when i get muchies i usually eat something good, like left over meatballs or maccaroni or something like that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. sometimes i will eat snacks, but i dont diet on chips alot. I dont eat breakfast cause i do not have an appetite when i wake up. But lunch usually consists of left overs from the night before which is a pretty nice meal, fruit, and little snacks. Dinner is always different and always fulfilling, never garbage (italian family //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ). So i dunno i think i get enough of nutrients, im sure the pot isnt making my muscles twitch.

Well, it could ust be "growing pains", but either way, get off your *** and get some exercise!!!

You may also start taking some multivitamins. They can't hurt!
