Multiple runs of 1/0ga question

To the people that run multiple runs of 1/0ga...

Do you run them under the car or through the firewall?

I was planing on running 6 runs(3 power/3 ground) of 1/0g, but im not sure i like the idea of drilling 6 big holes in the firewall incase I want to sell down the line..

Alot of CRX guys run them through the firewall. I have an Astrovan and run it underneath the van to the back. If your going to use this vehicle as a daily driver I would go through the firewall.

Not protected enough, in case of shit coming up underneath. For DD not safe at all, fire waiting to happen

i run 4 runs under my truck. there inside of the frame. if your anal about it being a fire hazard then fusing is your ticket.

In my civic when it used to compete, I had 8 runs through the car.

In my SM van, when I had it, I went under the car.

In the car is much better without a doubt. There is less chance of anything crazy happening, like having the jackets on the wire melt, which happened on the van.

I just made a large hole through the firewall and feed all my runs of 1/0 through that. (and of course I sealed it up)

How did you seal that big of a hole?

Ran the cables through a custom made PVC firewall grommet and sprayed expanding foam to keep it in place and seal it off.

Use the silicon caulk. That works really well.

why dont you run them underneath the van, but run them through a pvc pipe to protect them (im assuming if you need that many runs of 1/0 your going for spl and wont care too much about how it looks underneath?)
