i got a 12" 9500 and a 801mtx amp and need to know how many caps i should get, got a lancer OZ 03.

is there any way of calculating how many farad i need?

You guys need to hit up maylar and ask him what an electrolytic capacitor actually does. It does relate to sound quality. I'm not trying to be a dik, just do some research ok?

If your tight on money get a .5 farad, if not a 1.0 will work great for the amp.

Well you can't really over do it, but if you ever go crazy insane with up grading you'll already have the capacitence you need.

I also suggest you do an alt before anything.

Call your mits dealership and see if they'll install a higher output alt, could even have your current one recoiled and save some cash. The alt is something you could replace yourself, but being that it's a new car, it doesn't hurt to have any and all work done by a shop (for records and warranties sake), and no where is better than the place you got it from.
