Have a chance to pick one of these up for $325... Was wondering about the sound quality of them, mainly. I have a Clarion DPX1000.2, putting out about 500-800 rms id say. Will the MTX be a general improvement?

Running a Mark 2 Bhrama 15" d2 in 2.75 cubes to 35 htz, with a 4 gague wiring setup with a cap.

Good amp, The price you're paying is a little high i would say. Mine puts out 1120w at 2 ohms (12.5 volt so roughly 1500w at 14+ volt) Is the clarion class D? also The mtx has no SSF. In your case i would keep what you have. Hope that helps.

Thanks digital mint! The extra power was tempting... But I'd pobably be smelling ferrofluid within a week without the SSF.

Manual recommends use 1/0, but with your stock alt you might be ok. I got one on ebay as an mtx refurb w/ warranty sealed and mint for $225 shipped. Birthsheet of 1180.
