Is the MTX 1000d amp any good or can I get a better one for the money. T think it is $440. I plan to push a 12" brahma with it.

well i have an mtx amp mine was 300some it works great except that you have to have go speakers strong enought

you could look at the JBL bp1200 which runs for a little under 300 on the net at several stores. This is the amp I have in my setup and it performs great and is stable down to 1ohm. Just my two cents

The MTX (I'm assuming) 81000d is a great amp but the downside is how power hungry it is it takes a lot of current and you have to run 1/0 ga. cable for it, but as long as your car can handle the load $440 is a pretty good price for it.

I would go for the bd1200.1, MTX is good quality shit but if you ask me not worth the price difference between them

any of the amps above are a excellent choice, you will boom
