Mtx ??

any other peeps got horror stories about mtx products?????i was gonna get the 9500 but now i'm kinda skeptical since seeing those pics above.
If a gay man tells you he hates puzzy and loves dikk is that going to make you decide to turn down that nookie? Do a little more searching and learn more before you let a few diffrent dudes on a forum tell you whats best for you. Grow some nads. Do what YOU thinks right.

^^^you right. that's why i asked others if they incurred any other problems w/ mtx products. so far 2 bad things about vs. approx. 50+ good things (esp. the 9500)

nice L7's & whats your opinion on those?

Ive posted this pic before, and somehow I doubt this is the last time i'll post it.

Stay away from MTX, they have the cheapest easiest to crack cones in the industry....and not just the 9500 series (pictured above) but every single series of the fake alumnium cones.

And whoever said the 7500 could beat a L7 (as much as I dislike L7's) ...they still should be slapped. Its junk I tell you, JUNK.

and ive been thru alot of subwoofers in my years, these have consistantly been the worst mass produced mainstream woofers produced. MTF FTL

and their 1501d's **** too.

You just got a faulty sub. Once in a while you get a product that is crap but all of the other products like that same sub are pretty strong. That's why they made the whole warranty thing just in case you get one of the faulty products. You can't expect all MTX's will crack after seeing one cone broken. Yeah a few have broken but think of how many haven't.

L7's are great for the price. Try to get the 06' model if you can. They have great spl the sq is not the greatest but the will get loud if thats what your looking for. Any brand of equipment will have a horror story. Anyone with common knowledge will know that any large mass produced product will have some defects. Thats what the warranty is for. But I would choose the L7's over the MTX. And if you can get your hands on a MTX 1501d amp. You should jump on it. Then send it to me.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I regret selling mine.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

MTX is junk? HAHA ok then why do they have one of the lowest return rates in the industry as far as defective equiptment. Now I know the 7500's are a great woofer but I dont think they would beat the l7's as easily as the guy said. But the 8500's on the other hand will.....

LMAO. lol. wow, i really thought that kicker had given up on that kind of advertising, after they failed miseraby when they tried to say that their 9500 series was going to blow the W7 out of the water. lol, whats even better is the people that believe the stuff in that advertising.

and as far as saying they are good because they have one of the lowest return rates... thats like saying that ford makes some of the best performing cars because they are the #1 seller...

No thats not true actually becuase return rate is based on percentage. SO regardless of how much you sell, a low return rate is still a low return rate. And someone said they crack more cones than any other sub out there. Have you SEEN the rockford gear. I generally get at least one of them back a week with cracked cones. I love MTX, but I know is not the best shit on the market. Will the 7500 beat the L7? For SPL not a hope in hell, in sq, some people might like them better and some wont. In regards to the propoganda from the MTX website, the 9500 is a superior sub to the W7 FOR SPL ONLY but for sq as much as I hate JL I say W7 FTW.

umm did you mean you thought MTX gave up that kind of advertising? And in what way do you say they failed meserably with the 9500 vs. w7 ads? cause they were all based on fact's. They didn't come out and say we think our sub destroy's theirs. They said that in all measurable areas the mtx smokes the jl. Which they support the satement with black and white facts.

So I still dont see how its funny that people believe stuff in advertising when it is the plain truth. Now if mtx came out and said that a 9500 could break the earth in two and someone believed it than it would be a different story.

And no its not the same as saying ford makes some of the best performing cars cause they are the best selling. Now it would be the same if the number of fords comming in for warranty or recall work was among the lowest in the industry you could say the are among the best built.

Yes but you cant always judge two subs against each other real world due to all the variables involed. Such as vehicle, enclusure and such. So when you look at it the way they do with just the woofers own physical characteristics its a very clear way to determine which has greater potential imo

look at what they are comparing... the only "advantage" the 9500 really has is the .1" of linear travel. if you can hear the difference in .1", please let me know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

other than that, all they say is "we built ours differently, and we think its better"

looking at numbers on paper doesent compare to listening... physics is more of a theory than a law. it can give you a good idea, but in the real world, things change.

Umm ok but your missing the point of why I posted that link. You said earlier that mtx failed miserably in trying to say that the 9500 is superior to the w7. And I asked in which ways do you see that they failed so miserably? I know what's on that link I dont need to you to try telling me whats on there. Just tell me how mtx is wrong for what they say?
