MTX vs. Kicker CVR

Hey, im replacing my blown Rockford p2 and my two choices are a single four ohm MTX 5500 or a dual two ohm 12 Kicker CVR. It will be in a ported box in a jeep cherokee. Any info would be nice, Thanks

How can your choices be between a 2ohm and 4ohm sub? wouldnt you want to have them the same or are these used options. The CVR would be a better choice anyways. Is it a new CVR or old? What amplifier are you using?

Well, its between a single four ohm sub, which is four ohms. The CVR is dual two ohms, when wired in series, its produces a load of 4 ohms.

the CVR is no match for a low end MTX sub, CVR is prolly on par with the MTX 7500. if your gonna be getting a differnt amp in a few months why not step up to a sub that handles more power now. like a 600watt sub and get a 600 watt amp when u up grade!!
