The mtx will do more power. The octane is acutlly rated at .

75x2 @ 4 ohm stereo

125x2 @ 2 ohm stereo

250x1 @4 ohms bridged.

If you are needing more power, than the mtx will suit you better.

There's nothing wrong w/the Octane amps at all. Very good amp esp for the $$. Most people don't like the Octanes due to thier looks, but perform admirably.

I agree. I've been using a PG Octane 8:0.1(driving an AA Arsenal 12) for around nine months without a single problem. I consider the Octane line to be solid,low-cost amps.
