MTX or KICKER

alright well i have had 2 12 inch thunder 5500 in my car and that treated me real good but i had to sell it. now crutchfield has a deal where i can buy one get one free 12 inch Kicker L5. Should i buy the kickers or go back to mtx??? it needs to sound good and POUND HARD. any suggestions? from anybody who has owned them

You should like the kickers then put them in ported box. But if you really liked the Mtx why not go up one level on the mtx and that way it will be a an upgrade form what you had and you should like them.

i had 2 12" 5500's sealed, and got 2 L7's ported.....very very very big diffrence. i'd go with the l5's that's a good deal from crutchfield.

I can get you a mtx 8500 12in. with the sledgehammer enclosure. I have a 9500 and it pounds.

yeah but will it be more that 250 bucks because i can get 2 of those kickers. thats 2400 peak and the 9500 is only 2000 peak i think

First of all its a 8500 not the 9500 and if you ask around I am pretty sure that the 8500 (even tho it has less power) will be louder.

You live in Marquette, right? Call Sounds N Motion, they are in Houghton and one of the guys there has 2 8500's in his red civic. There number is (906) 482-4445, they can tell you for sure which one would be louder.

okay now if i get 2 of those L5's i need to get a big amp that will push them both for under 300 bucks. whats a good amp that would do the job?
