i dont think i would consider my 9512 "musical". my type x, yes of course, but the mtx is more spl.

well i have a 9512 and th btl will own it. i think the 9500 and the bl is a much better comparison. but i think all in all the 9500 would take the cake over the bl

Both great built subs and both have the capabilities of getting very loud! Depends on the application and everything. But I have faith in the 9500 series. Even though every other product MTX makes is pure crap, this sub went in the right direction.

Comparing those subs is like comparing a monster truck to a geo metro. The Fi will stomp the mtx all day long

I would say BTL.. There is a guy local with 2 mtx 9500 15's and does a legal 139.8.. They claim its 147 legal but I wasnt that impressed when i heard it and i saw em meter it at 139 with my own eyes

all depends on the install. he coulda had a pos box. i have heard my friends who is hittin a 151.4 and my 1 12 is pretty close to the ear.

They're ok for daily beating hard, but they're no SPL driver....ive seen more smoke out of MTX 9500's than ive seen come out of Dennis Leary.

I honestly have never been totally impressed with MTX subs. I had a couple of 12's back in the day, thunder whatever with the pink sorround. They were ok for what i payed.

not nay-saying, but i've heard about a lot of blown Fi equipment on here, not so much MTX. either way, they are both good subs.

jesus, $400 for a 9500 15? Ill pass, I think I could find something a lil better for that money. Oh also had a thunder 8000 i got on ebay for like $40, It was nice while it lasted for a few months. Didnt realize i was pushin like 900 watts to it.

These 2 names shouldnt even be in the same sentence. An i would glady put my bl up aginst any mtx subs to show it would be alot louder and sound better doing it.Yes i have herd the 9500 to didnt like it but that is just my op.
