what does the phase switch do?

it can either be set to 0 or 180?

i heard you only need it if you have 2 amps together but idk

also its a mono amp but it has 2 speaker output channels

whats the best way to hook up a single sub?

its a D1 sub ran in parallel

the terminal reads .6 when ran this way

Just switches the polarity of the sub. (Same as disconnecting your speaker wires and reversing them)..

The outputs are in parallel internal to the amp, so just use one set to connect your sub.

The modded 1501D should not have a problem with 0.6 DCR with a good electrical system.

I almost commented on the 0.6 ohms. I assume that is DCR measured with an ohm meter. If it is, that seems a little high for dual 1 ohm coils in parallel. Sounds like either dual 2 ohm coils, or something like an MT that you could get in dual 1 ohm DCR, or added resistance somewhere in the wire/connections.

yeah i think .6 for a d1 is about right. it could be anywhere from .3 - .6 or so.
