it's a good thing mts don't have pole vents either cus it sounds like you would like to make sweet woofer love to one...

Speaking of still not impressed2 jackhammers 136dbs lol

136 deebeez! thats louder than an idling plane engine!! HOLY COWWWW!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

why wouldnt they make a box the size of both of them put together ported and see how man db's they hit?

you need to study mts more closely....you think that they would tear up with 1000 watts...yeah ok rms is 2000 watts.if you can name a competitor that tore them up under 10,000 watts that had everything hooked up right bring it lol
Plenty of people have blown them with far less than 10,000 watts. Others with less than 5000 watts. It's just as much about the application as it is the power.

FYI, the MT does not have an RMS rating.

This thread has actually turned out to be more worthless than I had expected, and that's saying alot. Amazing really.
Sad to say, but I feel the exact same way.

sorry i should have clarified myself yes the mt doesn't have an rms rating BUT if you call re and ask how many watts you need they say at least 2000...that to me says rms maybe not though

Every sub has some type of RMS rating. It may not be published, but at some point there is a RMS value that long term will thermally destroy the voice coil.

From my experience, I would bet for the MT it is around 2000 watts. . .

2000 is probably the minimum I would recommend for an MT also, but its not an "official" rating. Though those don't mean that much today anyways. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
