mtx jackhammer vs re mt

The debate in this thread is bad enough, don't bring this debate into it. . .
Didn't you know that low power distortion kills subs. . .As long as that square wave does not have any distortion you should be ok. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
in the case of the MT if u gave an Mt the filthiest 100 watts it still wouldnt blow, cause the mt hasnt reached its thermal limit :p

but i know you were only kidding

you sure about that i know of people running with 40,000 watts on em......what kind of mts are they?soft or stiff spiders....how many spiders....watt ohm load etc..
I happen to know that ~12000w is about as good as it gets on those MT's.

That's on burps.

Straight from one of the loudest men in SPL competitions (hint: he does DB Drag) mouth.

lol care to name that "loudest man in car audio" because i know a veteran and he says differently

ghettoknock.. you know of people running 40,000 watts on them. Ok who? not saying there isn't somebody out there running 40,000 watt burps to them. But remember unless you know first hand (which you don't)it is hearsay . And from what I recall from hearsay the w7 is the loudest woofer in the world and some guys boy pulled 250db. besides you have to look at efficiency. That thing already is a major waste of money. Now if it takes 10,000 watts to break 150. wow. I could break 150db for under 1000 dollars with amp and subs lol. I have done it actually lol. 6 aw1200 audiobahns (95 cost each ) and one kole 2400 d at 1.33 ohm. (300 dollars) . granted outlaw. But this was a musical system. did a 152.3 at the kick at 50hz (no special tricks... pure output) and this was a termlab! So that thing musical should break a 157. And then should would only be worth 1500 tops cost. sadly I bet that thing at rated power would break a 157 on a lab. I doubt it would break a 153

Oh yeah that 152.3 . i tested the amp and was putting out 1020 watts I do believe (that was clamp x voltage) The only reason why I bring this up. Is wattage handling doesn't always mean much. > two re 18 mts probably would tear it up and cost much less and take less power while doing it

you need to study mts more closely....you think that they would tear up with 1000 watts...yeah ok rms is 2000 watts.if you can name a competitor that tore them up under 10,000 watts that had everything hooked up right bring it lol

Excuse me, but my sarcasm detector is currently getting fixed. I hope you're joking.

Man I can blow a MT with a 5 watt amp. Just have to get it up where it is clipping hard enough to melt the voice coil //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

PS: If you get that sarcasm detector fixed, don't use it on my responses, it will over load and break again. . . //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

do yo uwant a 300lb sub??!?!
is it practical??

does it even LOOK COOL????

mtx fail at life

ng
Let me anwser these 3 questions in order

1.Do you want a 300lb sub: Yes yes I do

2.Is it practical: No probably not.

3. Does it even look cool?: Have you seen the thing? Yes it looks cool as shit.

Problem is it is yet to perform anywhere near where it should.

But then again I blame crap installs most of the time. But I would take a MT untill someone can show me some better setup with the jackhammer.
