MTX amp overheating and burned a fuseholder

my mtx thunder series 502 is overheating. the amp is bridged to 2 subwoofers. someone was telling me that i should unbridge the subwoofers and have one channel to each subwoofer to avoid overheating. i had the subs with the amp installed yesterday and the fuseholder already burned once. the fuseholder was old, but i think that wasnt the problem. i had a new one installed today, it is a lightning audio 40amp fuseholder, the same as the other one but it is brand new. my amp is really hot after i used it so im afraid that it will burn the fuseholder again. what should i do?

What is the amp pulling from your alt?

they make a casing that u can bolt down over the amp that has a little fan in it.. they sell for like $30 or $35. unbridging it might help to..

hows the amp grounded? how big power wire? what impeadence is the amp working at?

Its an 8 guage wiring kit, lightning audio 700 watt, amp is grounded to my back seat. what is impeadance? sorry guys im still a little new to subwoofers/amps.

silver- what do you mean what is the amp pulling from my alt?

Pitbull- that fan looks ok, but can i find one at like walmart or anywhere? also, i want to unbridge if possible before i just buy other stuff because the guy i bought it from said it should have one channel to each subwoofer

take the wires from the subs and run the + and - from 1 sub to 1 set of channels on the amp and the other set from the other sub to the other set of channels...

I have a question about unbridging. There are 2 slots for the speaker wires in the subwoofer box, i think one for the left and one for the right. so i put one speaker wire in the + and one in the - but do i put them together to plug into the sub box? if so take a pic of the channels on your amp where the speaker wires are connecting to it.
