Selling my MTX 9500 and snailshell from http://www.nolteaudio.com. I paid over 800.00 to have this combo shipped to my door. If you have the right power, this setup will amaze you, if you've ever heard this setup before, you'd know. Anyways, I ran the sub off a 1501d, and I installed the system about this time last year. The reason I'm selling this is because I plan on buying another box from John Nolte only I'll be buying a doubleshot to accommodate 2 12" L7s now. If you want pics/videos, I don't have a problem with recording any.

Here is a pic, sorry for the brightness, it was taken off my cell phone.

I hear that the SS aren't all that loud, and I've heard about people making them to the exact same dimensions as the "real" ones, and being rather disappointed with the output.
have you ever gotten it metered?

Actually they do get pretty loud given the space they take up.My only real complaint is they don't drop low enough for my tastes. In short, death by bass, you're an idiot.

The SS are indeed LOUD, you truly need to hear one before you talk about them, because I had doubts before I went into buying one, but now I'm more than satisfied. This is why I'm buying another great box just like the snailshell only for two drivers from John Nolte, I've never seen a box built as nicely as he can. I played my setup agaisnt an employee's at circuit city who had a 13W7 in a ported box running off 2 1000/1s and an optima yellow top in the trunk and me, him, and my friend agreed that my setup sounded louder. Now as far as db's, i've never gotten it metered, but it is by far the loudest single 12" setup I've ever heard. As far as lows, it loves the lows, it loves the lows more than the highs. The 33-39hz range is where it seems to hurt my ears the most, but it gets very loud at most frequencies, even 50-80hz range. I can take some videos of this thing if you guys want, I have a low quality one moving the center of my car pretty bad at 35-38hz.

Keep in mind this is the newer version of the snailshell where the wood is all curved on the inside, it's not straight pieces like "fakeshells" have.
