MTX 9500 not hitting hard !

polyfill will help some...use about 1pd per 1ft^3..or two pds or so to start. (whatever that works out too metric..lol)

if the amps power is legit and the box is built to specs..it should be trying to cave ur chest in, especially in a small truck.

give the polyfil a try......is ur ranger an extended cab? if so, u have enuff room to go vented...that would help the sub a bunch..

actually, if he wants a lot of excursion, going vented would be the worst thing he could do...vented enclosures drop the Xmax of the sub a *lot*...

maybe..but they "double" the output //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/drool.gif.b5e863e893038027711d4402f340dad0.gif of the sub/enclosure combo...

but after rereading a few posts, i get the impression it's in a standard cab anyway...

which brings me to another question....just how short are u cristovam? the 9500 is in no way a shallow sub and u said it's behind the driver's seat....so u gotta be sitting on the steering wheel...

yep.. have fun humping the steering wheel!!

We tried to put 2 type r 12's in my buddies standard cab 99 f 150.... it doesn't work.. he's 6 foot even, and I'm 6'2... neither of us could come close to trying to drive...

we don't get that model in the usa yet.....we might soon now that u can get the colorado crew and the s10crew(if ya can find one)

2 ppl in the back or the whole truck?

if the whole truck..port that sum***** and buy a good set of earplugs...lol

i'd guess the ranger's alt is around 105amp

i need space for 2 ppl in the back seat plus the box.

if i build something more than 60-70L only one person will seat in the back.

what if i port the 60L box?

thats a good idea, first of all i´ll bench the amp, using a multimeter in ac mode, i should wire it in the bridged mode and see the voltage right?

which voltage it should display for 1000w rms at 4 ohms?

oh hell... some one posted the formula a while back.

i think its square root of two times the wattage times the resistance or

square root of {(1000*2)(4)}

square root of 8000 should give you the voltage.

correct me on this if i'm wrong guys
