Mtx 9500 Encloser Question

So i have a box built to specs for my Mtx 9500 15 and it doesn't sound as loud as it's supposed to be. And, i am currently going to be moving that setup into my 1994 Gmc Sierra and have the entire back seat removed to have the box built, my question is from anyones past experiments with this sub is the best box over all, because i know it should be louder and a few of the shops that i have been to have told me that mtx does go lower on alot of there specs for there products so i figure they might have done this and the people that built the box followed miss leading specs, so really anyone that might have information to where i can find the best possible specs to build the best box for that sub so it will sound like it should , please post it here.

ThankYou

We'll i was told that it should push out nearly 4000watts and at the momment im only running at 2000 with a Lanzar 2000d, and im going to be picking up another one and be running at 1ohm. My biggest issue with this is the box is to small and i'v moved hte system into my 94 Gmc Sierra Ext Cab, and want to build a box or have one built taht will fill up the entire back seat but be the best over all for bass. I was told the box that it is in now are a direct match to the Mtx Sight although i was also told by many people and just by visually looking at the box that it's way way to small. So really i was wondering if anyone here has built any boxs or have had boxs built for one 15" 9500 and just pretty much tore up the streets. If anyone has any ideas of what would be the best box for my truck could you please give me the dimentions and also if you have a cad program possibly make me a sktech of it so i can get a better idea of exaclty how it might look. I know this is alot to ask but im at a loss right now and would really like some help from other Car Audio Enthusiasts.

Thank You

Didn't build it so i dont know if they did or not. That is why i would either like to build my own or go to a shop where i live and have them build me one and i could just put it in because im perticular about how things are setup.

We had an MTX 9500 15" in a Dodge ram 4dr at our shop on an MTX 7801 @ 2ohm (rated 800wrms, birthed ~1300w).

4.75cuft net tuned to 37hz w/ ~72sq inch port. It was doing 143's on the termlab at 40hz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Great sounding sub...pricy, but nice.

We now have it on a Memphis Mojo 2kw...BIG DIFFERENCE in output. We havnt metered it yet though.

In your truck, try sub and port up...sub on passenger side...port on drivers.

Thats a box I did for one of my team mates car's ... I dont rememeber the specs exactly but it does give you a good reference of how big it should be. This box was made for SPL though, tuned to 45 hz.

I only paid $400 for mine new, so i lucked out on the high prices for this sub. Hopfully all the information i have gotten thus far will give me a better idea of what i need, and any other information that can be given would be a extreamly big help to me.

My other question is if i were to invert the sub would the box need to be built differently? If so could sumone possibly show me how it would be built .

And, would there be a difference in the DB i would get from either setup ( Inverted, Reg ) ?

I got a couple of 9500 15's for sale if you want some more //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

anyways, nah the box wouldnt have to be built different per se, but when you invert the sub you clearly change the air volume in the enclosure which changes tuning. If you want to know how to build boxes, there are quite a few websites that could help you...unfortunately there are hundreds of "styles" of enclosures to go for. You gotta figure out whats good for what your taste is...no one can just show you.

Maybe you should be out there in the garage building some test enclosures to get a feel of it before you make some uber box for you ride.

No if i had money to buy another 15 and 3more amps i def would be willing but at the momment im not interested sorry.

We'll the box in that picture is pretty much what i want other then the sub would be inverted, and it would prob be bigger then that but all and all that's pretty much what i was thinking for my sub, i honestly dont think the box that it's in now is big enough, so that being said could someone toss me some ideas as too how i should go about building this? Since i think i gave everyone more of an idea what im looking for now i just need answers to that question.

Thanks for all the help it is greatly appriciated .
