if you get them dirt cheap off CL they are good. But not new or ebay prices.

Dude they can take boat loads of power and honestly used they usually are cheaper than off name stuff. If you buy it used chances are it will pass through your hands and 3 others I'd rather have them then dc level 4s and alot of other subs in the 1000 watt category

Heard some a couple weeks ago. Sounded good and got loud. Probably not worth MSRP, but IMO not much really is.

There is a shop in addison Il called rays electronics that is selling them for 300 bnib with warranty. I personally sold 2 bnib 15s for 600. 2 10s for 350 my last set of 12s for 400. Just depends the douche you deal with. Like on the forums I always find someone asking 10-30 bucks less than they payed for subs like say 8s for example I seen a bunch of people selling them for 100 plus shipping. I found them for 136 shipped before bnib I sold 6 for 80 a piece. If people spent half the time researching and building a box for the 9500s they will do the same if not better than alot of subs I seen. Not to mention if you did blow a mtx 9500 You would have a wicked motor to work with a 4 inch coil and it weighs 55 lbs. Heres a pic of a 12 9500 next to a ss xxx 15
