MTX 8500 - 12" yay or nay ?

Yeah, I figured you could get a 10 inch 8500 for that price, but you said a 12 inch 8500. The 12 inch is well over that price.

absolutly mucho bass - the thing impresses the shit outta me

with some tweeking on my HU I got it tuned pretty tight (i hate boomy bass)

yesterday I was playing some CDs,rock stuff mainly ACDC Bob marley,Thewall

and I have never been so pleased with a subwoofer .

With the rock stuff and 0 bass boost its perfect,with reggee I had to lower the bass boost -5 on my HU

I dont listen to rap,but I stuck in a tuner CD for the hell of it,LilJohn,and also EMNB

and I laughed my *** off,I wish I had a vid camera to make one of them movies

the sub was really movin

I never heard so much low bass,very accurate and clear

totally different sounding from my other cars Diamond stuff

I took a gamble on buying from ebay but at 169 shipped I couldent resist,and that was a reputable seller,I think they are MTX actually -

and with JUST a small memphis 500D amp,much to my surprise its perfect for it

(my goal for this RSX was nothing bigger than 500w and 4 GA wire)

The 8500 is no slouch,It has taken every sort of music and played all of it well

for a ported box it can be tuned up pretty tight,I fully reccomend the 8500

and by comparison to a TypeR,which a nieghbor of mine owns

Im tellin ya, those subs are nice. You should run around 700 watts rms to get that thing to sounding great.

I was gonna run my 801D on it but the MTX dude said it was too much for the 8500

so I took his advise,it seems like 500w is plenty though , he might have actually been right
