4 ports is too many...if you wanna port it, do 1 slot port. It'll be louder in ported, but sloppier. I had 3 6000's in a sealed box, sounded purprisingly loud, I suggest you seal it. Give each sub around 1.5-2 cubes.

yea I have a mtx T81244A .... ok... I'm just going to test what my first box sounds like... tell me if my calculations are correct...

calculating total Vol (subtracting driver displacement also) I got 2.74 cubic feet

for the port (obviously not included in the 2.74) i measured... 2 inches x 16.5 inches with a length of 13" ....

does this equal approx 42.5 Hz?

ok.. NEvermind bout my post... I just did some work for myself (used the JL audio site) took that Fb = .......la la la formula to get my port freq.. its correct! well acutally 42.7 Hz heh

ok it's been a while and those mtx's sound great a little sloppy but loud...but now my friend got two 12"s for free from a friend and we were wondering whether that box would work for those subs as well

oh sry jmac i forgot to add that his are the 6000's not the 8000's i think they take something like 200-250watts rms
