MTX 7500 needs to Sing

I really don't know much about the amp. but it is rated with enough power for the sub. I'm not sure what the box is tuned to or anything, but it does look ok construction wise. ur wiring should look like this if ur wired 2ohm

http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard.asp?WoofQty=1+woofer&WoofImp=Dual+Voice+Coil+-+4+ohms+x+2

the very first option is what you are shooting for..if you have it wired to that and the sub is not doing well. I would say step up to something that is rated 600 @ 2ohms. I would ask around for some good amps that would do well at that rating.

That is the best way that I can help you.

that amp prolly isn't putting out the power you think it is. I would say get a Phoenix Gold x600.1 those things are beast they put out like 800+plus watts of real power but you have to be carful with the gain.

I know a person that has that amp. You wont go wrong with that amp, and for sure watch the gain not only due to the power of the amp. but those 7500's like there RMS alot and getting up in power might not be a good thing for them. Your goal and I know this is my goal is to make the sub last a while. They can take more than what they are rated, but don't get crazy with it

so the PG would be a better choice over the Crunch right? the only reason why i made this thread is because i hear distrotion on high volumes like the voices carry static or something. Which bothers me a lot ..

I'm not sure if you should be hearing voices through ur sub, or if you meant that in another way, but for sure if you are wired right and are not getting good sound out of the amp I would shoot for bigger. The PG amp is a very good choice I'd say, but thats all up to you. There is alot more out there if you don't seem to like the suggestion we gave you. I would also make sure that you have things set right. Like did you set the amp according to the deck. Other things to look at are grounding, wire size, rca's. If I got what you said right then I would look to them first to make sure everything is in good working order. By the way where abouts are you located in New York. I'm from Central NY and I could get out to you if you were close enough to check stuff out.

I live in Brooklyn, NY .. and thanks for all the suggestions and the helpful comments. I guess when i get my components installed by the installer I'll ask him to help me tune my system. I guess for now i'll stick the crunch until i get more money to buy a better amp.

Well that is by far out of my range...lol, but that would be a good idea. Make sure that everything is working to the best of its ability and if then the sub is not working like it should save up and get a bigger amp. If I ever happen to go out that way I'll get at you. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
