i have a hard time chosing an amp . what one will be better for a 18" fi btl . if i would get the mtx i would mod it for 1 ohm. got 300 for an amp.

mtx, I have only had bad experinces with Power acoustiks. I havent had a mtx amp yet but have several friends that run them and I have never heard one of them complain. I complained all the time when I had my PA.

If your not gonna add a amp later, Id go with a bl.

BL will do 1000x better with that power.

Also for that price range, Try and find a used Sundown SAZ1500D.

Shouldnt be that hard to find one for 325 shipped.

It "makes" 1500rms at 1ohm. EASY.

1501D, one of the best amps I've owned.

x2 I wished I never sold mine but thats how it goes when you like to try out different things.

But on a side note the 1501d is only 2 ohm stable unless you mod it to drop to one ohm and have it run about 1800 + watts. It is a very well built and reliable amp. KInda reminds me of my Sundown 1500 I have now. MTX 1501d ftw.

My amp is running at 1 ohm currently. Even the birth sheet has a rating at 1 ohm.
