well ive had this amp for a while but never really understood it that well.

its a mono amp with channel A and B. And it makes the most power at 2 ohms and is not 1 ohm stable. so how would I wire a dual 2 ohm sub? 1 voice coil per channel? and if so what about a dual 4 ohm sub? Also the amp is NOT BRIDGEABLE. thats my main problem with this amp.

all feed back is appreciated.

its internally bridged if its mono. the 2 terminals is simply for ease of install..in that case, series for 4ohm is your option. I do not know the viabilty of running that amp at 1ohm

alright so if i get a Dual 1 ohm sub parralled up to 2ohms how would i wire that? and so if i just used one channel i would be using the full power of the amp?

yea i already knew that. and but it gets real hot and shotens the life of the amp. so thats why im not doin it. but that doesnt help at all on my question. if i get a Dual 1 ohm sub parralled up to 2ohms how would i wire that? and so if i just used one channel i would be using the full power of the amp?

if you already knew that then you already know how incorrect your statement is. user error shortens the life of the amp. i have two that i've had for ten years. if you dont know how to wire subs then i dont recommend modding the amp. the internet is full of information.

When you bridge a 2 channel amp you are making it into a mono amp making it into a 1 channel amp. The mtx 1501d is a mono amp already it's a 1 channel amp, so yes you'll get full power out of the amp. But wire the sub in series not parallel to get 2 ohms.

ive use to have 2 of these amps never did the mod to it but at 2ohm it would go into protect alot. i had all proper electrical etc. always happend on both. also another thing i hated on these amps were the rca connections always come loose same thing on the 81000d too
