i forgot one key part.. this is going to be a daily driver. i'm going to do a little dbdrag this spring/summer. but mostly it's just a daily driver. would the 1501 be alright at .35 daily?

I suspect that .35 ohms could be a problem even for a modded 1501, but Ngsm should be able to clear that up.
