MT>Wall socket!

It doest matter because he was making out his breakers.
20 amps X 110 volts = 2200 watts....

big deal for a burp

:\

Remove the breaker and you will destroy any speaker.
Usually when I'm out to destroy a speaker off a wall socket, I do it free air. A free air MT surviving not one, but 3 repeated burps off a wall socket is impressive to me.

Yes it was free air //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif dont want my box to stink!

WTF! ya know what? build a HUGE ported box tuned to like 40hz, and pu it in ur trunk and mic it!!!
Been there ! Done that! Thats one of the reasons i need a recone, one to many burps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

60hz is the frequency of a light socket. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Was your point something along the lines of anything greater than 5.5 ohms would be less than 2200 watts with 110 volts?

Ok fine, sure, and if you put the speakers in ice water they could probably take 2200 watts RMS all day long, lets keep things in relative terms for simplicity. Subs run at about 4 ohms or lower hence the breakers govern the power load. I think that much can be assumed, and obviously in his case it was! You and I are NOT idiots, lets move on.

BTW, yes we do make underwater subwoofers for the record. The NAVY uses a few of ours.

Crazy stuff I tell you.

No sir. I was hinting more to the fact that rises in impedance by the general impedance curve of the driver and also imedance increases caused by heat will GREATLY low the amount of power supplied by a 110v wall socket.

It would not be uncommon to see a driver receive far less than 1,000 watts from a 110v socket.

Ask me how I know. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :p

This post is difficult to understand and seems totally off topic. Who are you? Who are you referring to when you say "we"? How does it relate to Abel's MT and the MT's total defiance of the role a light socket plays in reconing?

remotia is part of tc sounds
I must be behind in the times, to me that doesn't mean a **** thing. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif Lemme guess, another childish rivalry between companies? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
