mrd 600 watt alpine on jlw6

I have a 12in jl audiow6 1st generation,and a alpine mrd605,rated at 600watts rms at 2ohms,i will have the sub wired at 3ohms,do any of u guys think i will blow this sub?or how do u think it will hold up?how long etc.would appreciated what u think
