MP3 players??

what else is out there besides ipod? what i want is something that i can basically just transfer my music files from my computer to the player and then listen to my songs. what are good brands to look at? i want like a big one like a 20 or 30 gig. i'm new to this shit.

I've heard great things about the iRiver 20 gigs. I got to play with one the other day... its slightly smaller than the ipod, has a better screen, has more feature, and just plain sounds better imo. All for the same price as the ipod.

yep, I've only bought iRivers. An old 20 gig and a 512. Great units, GREAT customer service. I wouldnt buy anything else.

X2. I tried them both and the iRiver sounded way better then the ipod. As far as features, well it depends what you're after. I settle on the ipod because of all the gismos(bad spelling!) are easier to find and available everywhere.

I have an Iriver 320, I like it and never had any problems with it. Radio, Recording, color screen. I cant remember exactly but a year ago I bought it I think it was around $300.

i don't care about features. just something easy to use that stores a lot of music. something i can just transfer files onto and don't have to use that itunes or whatever the hell it's called

iriver if your stepping outside of Ipod...I would recomend the Ipod because it's so universal now they pretty much make every thing to go along with them...no that many products that have so many extras like the Ipod does

how does the itunes thing work on them? someone told me it sucked transfering songs to an ipod. what i want to do is put all my cd's about 80-100 on an mp3 player and maybe add a few more songs later.
