Mp3 or Cd

Since when are cd's not 320kpbs?
320 kbit/s is an MP3, compressed audio. Audio stored on CD's is not compressed and has a bit rate of 1,411.2 kbit/s. 320 is the highest standardized bit rate for MP3's though, so it's often equated to being the same as CD quality.

I remember back in the Napster days when people claimed 128 kbit/s was CD quality, that's quite amusing by today's standards.

I only have an AUX port so how would i connect my IPOD through USB?
Also if I use the USB my songs will still be 128 so how would it make a difference?
Get a headunit that has usb

And because aux is analog and usb is digital

You can't with your current head unit. As mentioned in this thread, you're bypassing the iPod's internal DAC when you're connecting through USB and using the DAC in your head unit.

Even if you used a USB connection, your songs would still sound pretty terrible since they're encoded in 128. The solution? Download better rips of the music. Try and go for either V0 or V2 variable bit rates. V0 is essentially the same quality as a 320 rip, but it's a smaller file size.

Did u read post #25 ?

Exactly, funny how we try to solve a problem and overlooked the main sources, like I said before, USB will give you the best sound and digital integration and sound. 2 issues, 128 k stereo files and headphone jack output to aux. if you need to use the aux port, buy one of these iPod iPhone Dock Connector Male to 3 5mm Plug Cable Mm | eBay it will give you much cleaner and better sound than the headphone jack.
That cable is the closest to USB sq you can get! Also on your iTunes uncheck the option to convert all files to 128k by clicking on the iPod itself to check the settings, maybe your files are apple lossless but that takes 4 times the memory of a 256k file. It's good to check the rate not only on your iPod but also on the music library also.

Can I get a new deck, as in just the outside piece.. Or do I need a whole new radio?Don't want to re wire my remote wire.
If its the same brand, you should be able to swap out the whole deck and plug the harness right back in.

My songs sounds clean already, it is just some songs are different quality than the others, and it is hard to compensate for that between songs.. Turning up volume etc.

Those songs that sound bad, you're just gonna have to live with that. Something got messed up along the way, converting or moving the song.

Sony.. wouldnt be my first choice but its whatev should work fine

I also mentioned that some recordings are bad and some music just will not sound better sometimes worse in a car set up, unless you know someone with a better system that have those songs and you can hear improvement, there is nothing you can do to make them better.
