Mounting an Amp

Alright. I am very limited in space with my 99 4runner believe it or not. Having 2 huge batteries in the rear with my 24 deep box is hard finding somewhere to mount my amp AND keep it under 16 inches in height for protective reasons. Anyone have ideas? Mounting to back seat won't work because it's too heavy and breaks the clips on the leather for the seats. I have it mounted to the back with 2 inch rubber mounts on each mounting foot but it comes close to rubbing against the batteries. They are 22 inches long and have to be parallel to each other / can't face them towards each other.

The only thing I can think of is making a false wall with wood or put it under your seats

Or you could make a 3 wall box big enough to fit over it and place the amp under it and mount it to the floor so passengers can put there feet on the wood instead of the amp.

I might try mounting it to the side where that cover is on the right side of the picture.

We know it's a 4runner but I agree a picture with the box in the back would help us see visually. Do under the seat with some fans mounted under there.

What about above the fender well on the side? Does your box go around that or fit directly in the middle.

I have mounted many amps to the back of that seat, if the amp is really that heavy use 1/4 mdf and make a plate that matches the size of the seat back, it will disperse the weight and u can put more screws into the seat backing.

Prolly no too under the seat. I made a amp rack in front of the box behind the seat. Batts under laying in their sides and amps above
