Mounting 6x9 boxes

I just put some 6x9 boxes in my friends hatch of his plymouth laser. The problem is that the 6x9 boxes slide around in the back - is there any type of material that I can use that will attach velcrow to the carpeted box and then the floor mat? If not, what is the best way to mount these boxes?
