Does anyone out there have any installs that are motorized? I would love to see some. I just finished one for my car. It has three actuators. One for the amp rack and two for opening panels. If you would like to see the install, go to http://www.sounddomain.com/id/regal4life

Let me know your experience with motorizing systems. For me it was alot of fun installing everything and making sure that it would work before I put it in the car.

hey bro i've never done anything like that before but i tell ya one thing...that shit is awsome....i've never seen a system quite that tight....show's you put alot of work and pride in it.great job man....i just can't say it enough......how much did all that cost you??

Hey, Thanks for the compliment! I did do alot of planning before I started. I stood there behind my car staring at an open trunk and just started measuring. After about 3 or 4 hours I finally thought to myself "I can fit it in!" The actuators that open the doors cost $110.00 for both on ebay, the one for the amp rack was $255.00. With all of the materials and equipment I have about $2,900 to $3,000 in the whole stereo system. I am pretty sure that I put almost 100 hours of labor in it so I probably saved alot by doing it myself rather than a pro.

From the looks of the equipment you have, you must have an awesome system. I would love to have more subs for my car but I still wanted alot of room in my trunk so I used as much room as I could for the 2 12's. The box is 1.25 ft3 per sub.

sweet install. i wanted to do something with motorizing shit, i wanted doors in the bottom of my hatch, right where the wheel well is and have an 18 come up out of it. But then i realized that i have a mustang, and there's no room for anything in there. so somebody else out there can use that idea. or maybe 4 8"s surrounded by plexiglass and neons underneath? just a thought.

Perhaps one of the best DIY installs I have ever seen. Very impressive.
