Most annoying bass in a song, come see!

Yea, as I was typing it, I was thinking that it didn't sound understandable haha. What I'm trying to say is that when these spectrum programs say some song has a peak bass line at 40hz and an amplitude of -7dB that it may be much higher than that in reality.

You can set your gains with those tones if you use your head and keep things sane but for many people who can't even tell the difference between a pure square wave and a sine wave, it's probably not a good idea.
